Welcome to James River Fishing School. We are proud to announce a new addition to our business called Discover the James, a series of educational adventures on the James River. We've taken the best things about fishing and simply removed the fishing ... leaving the wonderful wildlife, the James and the storied history of this great river.
As we continue to offer great fishing trips on the James River, we look forward to our own new adventure. Discover the James though our newest river tour, the new Capt. John Smith Trail Tour . This two hour river adventure is a slow boat ride on the Discovery Barge II, a 24-foot covered pontoon boat. The trip includes a guide from the Chickahominy Indian tribe who will help identify wildlife, while talking about Capt. John Smith.
The JRFS also offers our own , Capt. Mike's Freshwater Fishing Tackle Kit. The kit includes a fully stocked tackle box and illustrated fishing instruction manual.
Capt. Mike's Freshwater Fishing Tackle Kit is perfect for any kid or adult looking to learn how to fish a lake, pond, stream or river. The manual teaches the sport of freshwater fishing while targeting sunfish, bass and catfish.
